It is very helpful when you have anxiety to understand what is actually happening in the brain, because it provides us with an objective fact.

Instead of letting our emotions run wild and start believing in catastrophic thoughts about the possibility that we might be losing our mind, we can calmly remind our self that what is happening is actually due to a malfunction localized in a specific region in the brain .

And just as you would tend to a wound on your body, you can tend to the dysfunction and research what you can do to help fix it.

Remember the mind-body connection; the body influences the brain in the same way that the brain affects the body.
